The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia’s Energy Evolution Event: How Industry and Consumers Affect our Energy Mix

Date: Friday, November 16, 2018
Time: 8:00 am – 10:00 am
Location: Science History Institute Ullyot Hall, 315 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Our region’s energy landscape is changing. With the integration of renewables into the fuel mix, our main sources of power generation are beginning to shift. Advancements to the grid will provide new opportunities for industry and consumers to play a greater part in determining their energy supply.

Now more than ever, PJM Interconnection, the organization responsible for powering more than 20 percent of the United States with over 65 million customers, is seeing an increase in integration of variable energy resources like solar and wind into the grid.

Join the Chamber to hear from Andrew Ott, President & CEO of PJM Interconnection for an in-depth discussion on grid modernization, security and reliability, and the changing landscape of power generation in our region and around the globe. Following the keynote, a panel of industry experts will discuss their renewable energy strategies and how increased interest from customers has driven their commitment to cleaner, more efficient energy delivery.

Panelists include:
Joan Fontaine, PE, Vice President, Sanborn Head;
Phil Laws, Senior Director of Operations, Wells Fargo Center
Robert Morin, Senior Project Developer, Ameresco
Ben Parvey, President & CEO, Blue Sky Power
Moderated by: Brittnee Robinson, Secretary, American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE)
