Role Overview

STRATIS IoT is actively seeking a passionate Energy Associate to join its family of IoT experts who are creating & molding the next generation of smart building technology. Our diverse team is made-up of adventurous, multifaceted individuals who bring what they’ve learned through various walks of life to improve our products

As a member of this team, you will contribute to the STRATIS energy platform by researching & developing energy-related incentives, programs, & relationships that will enhance its IoT offerings.

The STRATIS energy team works with utility companies, smart cities, and connected-device providers to continually increase the value of STRATIS products and services for property owners, developers, and residents. The position will focus on developing custom energy efficiency rebates & demand response programs. The position will work with sales, strategic partnerships, and engineering to develop relationships and opportunities for current and future customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a list of standard energy incentives across the U.S. and Canada;
  • Leverage current relationships with connected-device providers to participate in energy-incentive programs that they have established;
  • Develop new relationships with connected-device providers to create custom energy-incentive programs for those devices;
  • Engage with regional energy providers to establish custom energy-incentive programs for specific device-types;
  • Keep an organized, straightforward list of all programs available and continually update the sales team with this information;
  • Engage with VP Projects & Development to ensure that connected-devices that have the most opportunity for incentives receive appropriate development efforts;
  • Work with property developers to develop case studies of our deployments (before & after);
  • Design digestible marketing & case studies on our capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Eager to impact energy usage across our multifamily, student housing, and hospitality footprint!
  • Able to be shown something once, explore it on their on, then replicate and continue to improve upon previous versions;
  • Thrives in a fast-paced working environment;
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once, with numerous tasks for each;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; able to interact with senior representatives of city governments, utility companies, and connected-device manufacturers with a professional appearance & demeanor;
  • Willing to travel to develop relationships;
  • Quick to learn new, complex systems and technologies;
  • Highly organized;
  • A driven individual that takes initiative and doesn’t require constant guidance or oversight;

Bonus:

  • Experience within IoT and/or Energy;
  • Experience within Sales, Consulting, or Marketing;

Interview Process

PHASE 1: A member of our team will contact you to arrange a call to discuss your professional accomplishments & ambitions. You may be asked to participate in a second phone interview as well.

PHASE 2: You will be invited to interview with the team in person. This interview will include multiple members of our various teams. Throughout this phase of the interview process, you will get the chance to interact with our team in a casual, free-flowing environment.
